A bit about me

As an integrative therapist, I offer emotional support for people navigating life’s challenges whether they stem from past experiences or are showing up in the present day. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, anxious, disconnected or are grieving, therapy can provide a calm, confidential place to come to where you can pause and reflect. It’s a chance to slow down, understand what you’re feeling, and create meaningful, positive change.

I work with compassion and sensitivity, drawing from my professional training and my own lived experiences of fertility issues, chronic illness, and grief. My approach is grounded, relational, and tailored to your needs. My background includes several years volunteering for a bereavement charity and working on a counselling helpline, supporting clients facing a wide range of issues, including: Loss, and bereavement, Relationship issues, Chronic illness, Fertility issues and IVF support, Stress, anxiety & self-care, Childhood trauma, Identity and self-esteem.

As a registered fertility counsellor, I support individuals at any stage of their fertility journey – from deciding whether to begin treatment to finding a way forward after treatment ends. I also work with those who are childless not by choice and people who have experienced embryo loss. Recognising these moments as significant forms of loss worthy of grief can be an important part of making sense of our feelings and learning new ways to take care of ourselves during what can be a surprisingly challenging time.

In today’s fast-paced world, our experiences of loss are often pushed aside, with pressure to ‘get on with it’ or ‘get over it.’ Therapy can help you explore and process these emotions, understand their impact on your life, and take steps toward healing and positive change at your own pace.

When booking, any of our in person sessions can be changed to a virtual session. Book your session first and then pop the therapist and hey@theselfspace.com an email to let them know.
