Hi, I’m Mitali and I work as an Integrative Counsellor. I mainly work with individuals from diverse backgrounds, exploring how identity, culture, neurodiversity, and lived experience can shape the way we view ourselves and the world. My therapeutic space is about making sure people feel welcome, and safe to be their authentic self.
Whether you’re navigating low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, sexuality, gender identity, or processing trauma, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, seen, and supported.
My approach is collaborative and tailored to your unique journey. I integrate holding space to feel feelings, challenging and re defining narratives, considering alternative perspectives, and breaking down your past to see how it is impacting your present and future. Part of our work together might explore the patterns of behaviour or internalised thought cycles that may be impacting you. Within the session, I might use metaphors, examples drawn from your own life experiences, visual diagrams to break down events, and establish grounding techniques that are tailored to your needs.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply unsure where to start, you’re very welcome to bring whatever is on your mind into therapy room. Sometimes the best kinds of therapy session are the sessions where you come in with nothing to explore, and leave with learnings, reflections, and a new understanding of self.
When booking, any of our in person sessions can be changed to a virtual session. Book your session first and then pop the therapist and hey@theselfspace.com an email to let them know.
