On the future:
[Wanting my own coffee shop] is a good excuse to get to be a real human at work. The love and care for the customers comes naturally. It’s beautiful to see them coming back (for years in many cases) and, as social creatures, we naturally love to relate to others. I think we all want to see more people who love what they do.
On the perfect day:
A perfect day for me is a smooth, busy morning where I can make coffee for the regulars that have become good friends after many years – as long as I’ve had my breakfast and coffee before them! I think that’s what makes the places I’ve been working so special – waking up to the same friendly smiles each morning.
