Cristina is photographed in her workplace, I Camisa and Son; a traditional Italian deli that has operated in Soho since the 1950s. Much loved by residents, chefs and the community, I Camisa faced closure at the end of 2022 due to raised rent prices. Tim Lord, the chair of The Soho Society, launched an urgent appeal to save the local institution, securing nearly 6000 signatures and spiralling international and national-wide coverage on blogs, social media and national newspapers including The Guardian. The petition has secured the safety of I Camisa and Son for at least the next two years.
