A bit about me

As a therapist, I am committed to helping individuals reconnect with their own stories and narratives in ways that foster growth and a sense of agency. My therapeutic approach is grounded in Narrative Therapy, which centres on the belief that the stories we tell about ourselves shape our identities, actions and relationships. Throughout our work together, I encourage people to reflect on the broader context of their experiences, including cultural, familial, and societal influences that may have shaped their narratives. Through this approach, I work collaboratively with people to challenge unhelpful narratives, and explore alternative stories that open up new possibilities for change. In my sessions, I aim to create a safe, respectful and compassionate space where people can share and externalise the difficulties they face, allowing them to view their problems as separate from themselves. I also emphasise the importance of agency—how small, positive changes in one’s story can lead to larger shifts in thoughts, behaviours, and relationships. As a member of British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists (BACP), my professional practise is informed and guided by their code of ethics.
