I believe that consulting a therapist should be accessible to everyone and considered an ordinary resource available to us to make life and relationships more manageable and meaningful. My style is grounded, compassionate and informed by the latest thinking on wellbeing and healing. Counselling is a place where you can speak freely; you will also find humour, compassion and acceptance. My approach is rooted in person-centred theory, although I work in an integrative way, drawing from a variety of therapeutic models, including trauma informed approaches and mind-body modalities. With a background in business, sustainability, international aid, and community engagement, I adopt a diverse and inclusive approach to working with adults and young people (18+). People often come to see me for a variety of different reasons. Sometimes they want to deal with long-standing issues and repeating patterns, or more recent experiences with anxiety or depression. Other times it’s in response to unexpected life changes, such as divorce or work transitions. Or perhaps they want to learn more about themselves and their relationships, creating a space to envision the way they want their life to be and identifying what is stuck or not fully vibrant.
