Hello! I’m Silvi Neykova, a qualified integrative counsellor and family practitioner, and a counselling psychologist in training. I work with individuals, couples, and families, offering a warm and supportive space to explore life’s challenges. My philosophy I believe therapy is a collaborative journey. At its heart is the relationship we build together—a safe, non-judgmental space where you can bring your thoughts, feelings, and struggles without fear of being misunderstood. I see therapy as an opportunity not only to work through difficulties but also to rediscover resilience, meaning, and new ways of connecting with yourself and others. My therapeutic style Clients often describe me as warm, attentive, and down-to-earth. I balance empathy with active engagement, which means I don’t just listen—I work alongside you, helping you make sense of your experiences and supporting you in moving forward. My style is collaborative and adaptable, tailored to each person’s unique needs and pace. How I work My approach is integrative, drawing on person-centred, cognitive behavioural (CBT), solution-focused, psychodynamic, existential, and systemic perspectives. These different approaches allow me to be flexible—sometimes offering structured tools and strategies, other times providing a reflective space to explore deeper patterns. Together, we decide what feels most helpful for your situation. My experience My clinical experience includes working at the Family Therapy Clinic in South London and Maudsley Hospital; providing trauma-focused counselling at Women’s Aid for survivors of historical and current sexual abuse; and supporting clients with anxiety and depression through Lambeth Talking Therapies (NHS IAPT). I have also offered open-ended, long-term counselling at The Awareness Centre and worked with high-risk, suicidal individuals at The Listening Place. I am currently completing a professional doctorate in Counselling Psychology with the Academy of Existential Training and Middlesex University. Inclusivity I welcome people from all walks of life and am committed to offering a therapeutic space that honours diversity, individuality, and social justice. Why I became a therapist My path into this profession was shaped by a deep interest in people’s stories and a belief that genuine connection can be profoundly healing. I continue to be inspired by the courage clients show in bringing their struggles to therapy and by the growth and change I witness in the process.
