Hello, I’m Dimple. I’m a trainee integrative therapeutic counsellor in my final year of professional training. I’m also a qualified healthcare professional and a psychology-informed coach. I bring 25 years of experience as a clinician across healthcare and community settings. This background shapes my holistic perspective and my interest in the connection between mind and body, as well as how our relationships, work, health, cultural contexts and social circumstances interact and influence our health and wellbeing.
Perhaps you’re feeling anxious or stressed, finding relationships or work difficult, or questioning your identity and purpose. You may be navigating expectations, uncertainty and change. Perhaps you feel stuck or less connected to yourself, or sense that something else doesn’t feel right but can’t quite put it into words yet. Being human can feel overwhelming, chaotic and lonely at times. Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, safe and compassionate space to pause, feel heard and explore your experiences without judgement.
I believe a trusting relationship is at the heart of counselling. I’ll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions and offer gentle challenge when helpful. We’ll work collaboratively, making room for uncertainty and supporting you with things that are difficult to express. We can explore difficult emotions or inner conflicts, deepen your understanding of yourself and consider what a more fulfilling life means to you. We can also explore practical strategies to help you manage what feels difficult in the here and now.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches, including person-centred and psychodynamic therapy, and adapt our work to your needs at a pace that feels right for you. This means respecting you as the expert on your own life while exploring how earlier experiences and relationships may influence the present and recognising patterns that may be holding you back. I’ll approach our conversations with humility and curiosity, recognising that your story is uniquely your own.
On a more personal note, I enjoy yoga, creative writing, the arts, meditation, sport and community volunteering. This mix of creativity, movement and connection helps me feel grounded, healthy and connected.
Our first session is a chance to begin exploring what brings you here. Building trust takes time. You are welcome to come just as you are, without pressure to find the perfect words or have everything figured out. When you feel ready, I’m here to listen and explore with you. Together, we can make sense of where you are and create space for fresh perspectives, greater understanding and new possibilities. I look forward to meeting you.
