A bit about me

Hello, I’m Nina. I’m an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist in advanced BACP-accredited training. I have close to ten years’ experience in mental health and I’m really passionate about this work – for the meaning it brings to my own life and for the support, growth and change it can bring to others.

At the heart of my work is a simple belief: healing happens through connection. I offer a warm, supportive and collaborative space where you can be yourself – no pressure to have it all together. We’ll go at your pace, exploring whatever feels important to you.

I understand how tough it can be to be human, and I hold a deep respect for the different ways people adapt in order to live in the world. I came to this work through my own experience of therapy – I know how hard it can feel at times – and also how much peace and possibility it can bring.

I’m interested in how our early experiences shape the ways we relate – to ourselves and to others – and how patterns we once needed for survival can later hold us back. Together, we might work to bring awareness to patterns that may no longer be helpful, and begin to shift them, so that you can reclaim more freedom, connection and choice in your life.

People come to me with all kinds of experiences, often navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, identity questions, grief, childhood trauma, sexual assault and periods of feeling lost, stuck or disconnected.

My therapeutic style is relational and often depth-oriented. I draw from a range of modalities – including psychodynamic theory, attachment-based approaches, somatic awareness, existential inquiry and creative practices. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy; I work integratively, meaning I tailor our work together based on what feels most resonant and supportive for you.

I’m committed to creating a space that’s inclusive and respectful of all identities, cultures and life stories. I pay close attention to how things like power, privilege and culture may impact your experiences – both in and out of therapy.

Therapy with me is a space where you don’t have to pretend, perform, have the ‘right’ words or have it all figured out – you can show up just as you are. Together, we can sit with the mess, the meaning, the hope and everything in between.
