Man up? Nah, mate. Man down.

Nobody hands you a rulebook for being a man, but you could recite it with your eyes closed and four pints deep.

Be strong, but emotionally available. Be ambitious, but always present. Earn well, look good, speak up, toughen up, open up. Be a provider, a protector, a perfect dad, a perfect gay man. Or be the sensitive one, the creative one, the one who’s done the work. Be masculine enough. But not too tough. Be yourself, but make sure it’s a version everyone approves of.

Bloody hell. That’s a lot of hats for one head. And everyone’s got something to say about how you should wear them.

You've spent years manning up. It’s time to man down.

Different rulebooks, but the same old pressure to prove you’re enough. So you keep working at it. Getting better and better at the performance of being a man. Trying to become the kind of man you think you’re supposed to be.

And when you’re spending so much time trying to be the man everyone expects, it’s easy to lose sight of the man you actually want to be. The things YOU care about. The parts of yourself you’ve put away. The life YOU might have lived if you weren’t so busy trying to get this one right.

Who would you be if you didn’t have to prove a thing?

The truth is, there are as many ways to be a man as there are men.

This Men’s Mental Health Month, we’re inviting men to put down the expectations they’ve been carrying and get curious about what’s underneath.

Mental Health MOTs

Your personal best is nothing if you’re a personal mess.

Our MOT Check In gives you 50 minutes, one to one, with a therapist to start figuring some of that out. A chance to reconnect with your values and purpose, take stock of where you are and ask whether the life you’re living aligns with the man you want to be. Think about what’s moving you towards that life and what might be holding you back.

Put down the obligations and projections and ask who’s left underneath.

Mate, you’ve spent years manning up. This November, man down. You’ve got nothing to prove.

We’ll meet you there.

Same day sessions

In person or online, seven days a week. Built for men.

Overachieving or overperforming?

At work, there are two rulebooks. One lives on the intranet. The other is the one nobody talks about. Be ambitious, but never difficult. Confident, but not cocky. A strong leader, a dependable colleague, the bloke who keeps his shit together when everything’s falling apart.

And for some men, their job becomes more than what they do. It’s how they measure who they are.

Because when your worth is tied to how well you’re performing, admitting you’re struggling can start to feel like failing. And that pressure doesn’t magically disappear when you log off.

Menopause is ridiculous!

On brain fog, identity wobbles, unexpected changes and the messy reality of menopause.

Being good at your job shouldn't come at the cost of being yourself.

This Men’s Mental Health Month, we’re encouraging workplaces to look beyond performance and make room for the person underneath.

Our MOT Check Ins give your people 50 minutes, one to one, with a therapist to explore their values, purpose and the pressures they might be carrying. And our Tools for Leaders workshops help managers create environments where people can have honest conversations without feeling like their competence is on trial.

Sometimes the most useful thing you can do for someone who’s always got it together is give them somewhere they don’t have to.

Check-Ins are 50-minute one-to-one sessions to help you stop, take stock, and get back on track – a moment to check what’s running smoothly, and what’s not.
