Psychoeducation Facilitator

We’re Self Space, a contemporary mental health service offering a good conversation with a qualified person. We support individuals and some of the most progressive, industry-leading global companies to reach their potential. After launching the world’s first on-demand mental health service right on the High Street in Shoreditch, London — we’re looking for brilliant therapists to join our mission to launch a Self Space on every High Street, in every city, across the UK and as part of this we are opening up a brand new three-room location in Kings Cross. We are opening up accessible therapy with no waiting lists, no long faffy assessments — just good therapy there and then.

Who we are looking for:

We’re looking for a therapist-facilitator (class-act, dynamic, confident therapist) to be part of our facilitation team within Psychoeducation. 

We particularly welcome applications from those who are underrepresented within the field of Psychotherapy in the UK, including LGBTQIA+ and Global Majority communities (Black, Asian, Brown, dual-heritage, indigenous to the global south). 

As well as those who, like our founder, are from working-class backgrounds or can offer neurodivergent perspectives. 

You’ll be working with people from leading companies like Depop, Huel, Red Bull, Omnicom Media Group and over 200 others to champion mental health, make change and facilitate meaningful moments.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in both writing, developing and delivering workshops/talks/training in the mental health space. And ideally, have proven experience of delivering mental health content within the corporate space.

If successful in application, you’ll be invited to meet the team and facilitate a 15 minute workshop in person @ Coal Drops Yard on 20th May 2024

You like creating compassionately disruptive content to support people in their mental maintenance. You’re a top-notch human & therapist who can facilitate workshops like a wizard. Changing workplace wellbeing culture floats your boat. The idea of working at the edges of what’s new and dynamic in therapy gets you proper fired up. You want to enhance your clinical practice around your current working schedule.

Person Specification:

  • Accredited with appropriate regulatory/governing body (HCPC, BACP etc.)
    Minimum 3 years post-qualifying experience
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of Risk management and working in partnership with relevant organisations to manage risk issues
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of working with safeguarding issues and working in partnership with relevant organisations to manage safeguarding issues
  • Have proof of Public Liability Insurance
  • Have extensive experience of working with IT systems e.g. emails and booking systems
  • Ability to challenge outdated and rigid approaches to therapy whilst upholding the highest clinical standards
  • Ability to be versatile and flexible in your approach therapy
  • Current Enhanced Children and Adult DBS Clearance (or be willing to undergo this)
  • A desire to shift the culture around mental health and be a part of something at the forefront of that
