Powered by a team of hope holders, our qualified therapists and facilitators are tasked with supporting clients to maintain good mental health, know themselves, find balance, be mentally flexible, build healthy relationships, thrive at work and ultimately reach their potential. 

We’re looking for a Social Media & Content Creator who’s excited about the challenge of shaping Self Space’s online presence and engaging audiences in meaningful, impactful ways. 

This role involves crafting and managing a cohesive content strategy across our social channels, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and if you think we need TikTok – that too! You’ll collaborate closely with our Founder and other brand and marketing team members to build out a thoughtful, engaging brand narrative that resonates with people across our B2C and B2B audiences. 

The Role 

As Social Media & Content Manager, you’ll be the digital voice of Self Space, shaping how our brand shows up online. You’ll manage all our social channels, creating scroll-stopping content that engages, educates, and inspires. Whether it’s a post about managing stress, a viral meme about therapy, or a campaign showcasing our impact, your work will drive our mission forward. 

In this role, you’ll support our 360 content strategy by publishing consistent, high-quality content, contributing to our SEO strategy with targeted monthly articles, and implementing our brand’s tone across digital channels to ensure a cohesive brand voice. Your work will be instrumental in building follower engagement and maximising the impact of organic social media content for paid social ads.

Your areas of focus will include: 

  • Social Strategy: own the strategy and execution for Self Space’s social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.), ensuring a consistent and impactful presence. 
  • Content Creation: craft on-brand posts, stories, and reels that balance humour, empathy, and insight while making mental health feel accessible and relevant. 
  • Community Engagement: respond to comments and DMs with care, empathy, and our signature tone of voice. Build a thriving, engaged online community. 
  • Campaigns: collaborate with the marketing team to ideate and execute integrated social campaigns that amplify key initiatives, from new space launches to partnerships. 
  • Editorial support: Support our digital presence by contributing with content ideas for our editorial strategy and regularly publishing SEO-optimised articles 

Analytics & Optimisation: track performance metrics, analyse what works (and what doesn’t), and refine strategies to drive engagement and growth. 

  • Trends & Innovation: stay on top of social media trends and adapt content to keep us fresh, relevant, and ahead of the curve. 
  • Collaboration: partner with our content and psychoeducation teams to ensure alignment and amplify the reach of our workshops, talks, and resources. 
  • Thought Leadership: position Self Space as a leader in mental health by creating shareable, insightful posts for B2C and B2B audiences.

What we’re looking for: 

You’re creative, empathetic, and obsessed with social as a tool for storytelling and change. You know how to create content that stops people mid-scroll and sparks meaningful conversations. 

You’ll be a good fit if: 

  • You have 2-3+ years of experience managing social media accounts for brands 
  • You’re fluent in Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn, with a proven ability to grow audiences and engagement. 
  • You’re a skilled writer who can nail our tone of voice 
  • You have a good eye for design and basic skills in Canva or similar tools (bonus points for video editing experience). 
  • You’re data-driven, with experience using analytics to optimise content performance. 
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and love turning ideas into action. 
  • You’re passionate about mental health and want to make a tangible impact on how people engage with it.
