Hey, hello, hi, now then. We’re Self Space.
Self Space is on a mission to make mental health more accessible, more human, and less… clinical. We opened the world’s first on-demand mental health service on the high street because mental health deserves a front door. Somewhere you can walk in, take a breath, and have a good conversation with someone who really listens. We offer same-day appointments, flexible virtual options, and in-person therapy in Shoreditch, Borough, Soho, Kings Cross and beyond. We believe it’s possible to shift the culture around mental health to something that feels more normal and less… heavy. Therapy doesn’t have to be daunting. It can just be human.
Now, we’re looking for a Front of House to join our team and help create environments where clients and therapists feel at ease and supported.
Our Values matter a lot to us:
-
Clients First – We put our clients at the centre of everything we do.
-
Radical Compassion – We lead with empathy and kindness.
-
Name It – We say what needs to be said, even when it’s tough.
-
Keep the Edge – Be bold. Disrupt and challenge the norm, but with love.
-
Look After You – We take care of ourselves seriously as with someone we love.
-
Grit – Perseverance and passion. We know what it takes to shift culture.
About the Role
As Front of House, you’ll be the heart of our spaces. Think of yourself as the calm presence that ensures everything runs smoothly—spaces tidy, clients greeted with care, and operations ticking along like clockwork. From handling daily admin to making sure every corner feels thoughtful, you’ll be playing a vital role in making Self Space feel like a refuge for everyone who walks through our doors.
You’ll work closely with the Experience Managers to keep everything organised, functional, and genuinely welcoming, all while fostering a sense of community and connection.
What you’ll do:
Environment
-
Curate and maintain spaces that are tidy, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches—like fresh postcards, tissues, and toiletries.
-
Be a friendly face for our clients and therapists, welcoming and supporting them while they are with us.
-
Ownership of the visual presentation of our spaces and our store front.
-
Monitor and maintain stock levels and budget for essentials (candles, diffusers, toiletries).
-
Identify and report any maintenance issues within the site.
Communication and Office Management
-
Maintain excellent communication standards both internally and externally.
-
Respond to all client communications in line with agreed response times.
-
Oversee our therapist-client matching process as well as assist with general therapist queries.
-
Work collaboratively with our Client Success team in registering new corporate clients and managing their onboarding process.
-
Process Shopify orders—packaging and dispatching items with care.
-
Conduct inductions for new therapists and ensure they feel supported from day one.
Client & Therapist Support
-
Welcome clients with care and create a calm, approachable presence for walk-in enquiries.
-
Support our therapists by effectively managing our booking system.
-
Build relationships and foster connections among clients, therapists, and the wider team.
Community Building & Events
-
Be a strong link between our communities and business by being the face of our brand from our High Street locations.
-
Be a culture maker—someone who infuses positivity and warmth into everything you do.
-
Support Client Experience Managers in delivering a strong calendar of events to connect with our community and collaborate with like-minded brands.
We’re After Someone Who:
We’re looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment. You have strong organisation and prioritisation skills, and you communicate clearly and warmly, both in person and in writing. As a self-starter, you’re comfortable taking initiative and working independently, while staying composed and adaptable in a fast-paced setting. You love people, connection, and building a sense of community, with a knack for creating welcoming spaces and thinking creatively about events or cultural initiatives. With experience in client care or customer-facing roles, you care deeply about mental health and wellbeing and are excited to champion Self Space’s mission.
The Nice Extras We Offer:
-
Unlimited Leave!
-
Access to £300 worth of therapy with an approved provider.
-
Bupa Private Healthcare upon starting.
-
3 Volunteering days a year for your chosen charity.
