My name is Sean Taylor, and I am a registered therapeutic counsellor with four years of experience. I am deeply committed to my practice and hold a healthy respect for the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) ethical framework, which guides my work to ensure the highest standard of care for my clients.
I am dedicated to helping others of all walks of life work through a wide range of emotional challenges, including communication breakdowns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and confidence issues, fear, guilt, shame, bereavement, grief, and addictions. In my practice, I offer a safe, non-judgemental space where clients are welcomed with the utmost empathetic respect for their experiences and autonomy, along with patience and positive regard.
Confidentiality is always upheld, ensuring that you feel secure, safe in the value held in keeping your experience private from others, and supported as we work together.
Alongside my private practice, I have gained extensive experience in professional settings focused on family therapy and relationships. My integrative therapeutic approach draws upon various theories, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), also known as Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy (REBT), and Gestalt group therapy. By blending humanistic and directive techniques, I work with individuals, couples, and families to foster greater self-awareness and help develop a more constructive understanding of themselves and their situations.
Together, we will explore the core beliefs and unrecognised emotions that drive your behaviours. By gaining a clearer understanding of the bigger picture, the work that we do together will help you to identify the steps needed to adapt and overcome the challenges you face, as I collaborate supportively with you.
I am here to support you with warmth, care, and a genuine commitment to your well-being, ensuring that you feel understood and valued at every stage of your journey.
Additional focus: Shame, Guilt, Identity, Bereavement, Self-Esteem, Identity concerns, Burnout, Stress, Social Anxiety, Depression.
