It’s time to make it work at work. Self Space supports organisations to build healthier, human-first cultures that keep burnout at bay and make performance stronger under pressure.
Who we are
About Self Space
Every workplace has its pressure points: burnout, disconnection, and the quiet friction that leads to high turnover. Talking about mental health in vague, corporate terms doesn’t help anyone; especially when it’s awareness over action.
Self Space goes beyond the buzzwords.
We provide managers and teams with therapist-led support designed for the actual reality of modern work. By helping your people navigate pressure and mental health in real-time, we help you to build a steadier, higher-performing culture, one where colleagues feel truly supported long before they reach for the exit.
The Self Space Model
Self Space uses a multi-layered model that ensures that employees, managers, and leaders are all supported simultaneously.
By combining individual therapy, leadership development, employee training, psychiatric diagnosis, industry-leading workshops and organisational insight, we help you spot pressure points before they become breaking points.
We’re here to strengthen capability at every level, moving mental health away from the “perks” list and making mental maintenance a natural part of how work, well actually, works.

Some of the problems we solve
Mental health at work isn’t just an HR checkbox, it’s the difference between a team that thrives and one that quietly falls apart. Here’s where we come in.
Acting late costs people and businesses
Burnout rarely arrives all at once. It creeps in quietly. When someone hands in their notice, calls in sick or the team starts to crack, why do we always pretend to act surprised when the pressure’s been building for months?
Research links burnout and poor workplace conditions to lower engagement, decreased productivity and stronger intent to leave.

The Self Space Solution
Self Space helps you step in earlier. We provide employees, managers, and leaders with therapist-led support designed for the heat of the moment, not the aftermath. By addressing the human reality of work in real-time, we help you navigate pressure before it turns into a crisis for the business, or the individual.
Your colleagues are silently quitting
Most of your colleagues aren’t in a crisis; they’re just quietly quitting. 1 in 5 UK workers have mentally checked out because the strain has become too heavy. They’re the ‘I’m fine’ over the morning brew, the ‘sure can do’ over Slack messages. But constant coping is a massive performance drag. When people are stuck in survival mode just to get through their to-do list, their minds and bodies simply can’t produce their best work.

The Self Space Solution
Self Space uses the right tools and therapist-led support to make mental maintenance as natural as checking your inbox or catching up with a colleague. No jargon, no fluff, just a practical way to address the hidden tension that leads to silent quitting. We’re here to help you build a steadier, higher-performing culture where people actually want to stay; the kind of workplace worth shouting about on LinkedIn.
Modern work keeps changing and so do humans
Growth. Restructures. The blurred lines of hybrid working. The constant juggling of shifting priorities and tighter targets. When the expectation is to simply “power through” without the right support, the cracks always start to show. Confidence dips, tension settles in, and doing great work starts to feel like a heavy, uphill battle.
62% of workers experienced more change at work in the last year.
44% don’t understand why.

The Self Space Solution
At Self Space, we believe that while work is demanding, it doesn’t have to be depleting. By working alongside managers, teams, and leaders, we provide the therapist-led systems and tools to make growth feel manageable – and even exciting! We’re here to help your people navigate the noise with more clarity and steadiness. Because change is hard, but it shouldn’t be something worth losing talent over.
A hotline is not a strategy
Too many organisations still rely on support that’s only available when something, or someone has already cracked. An EAP. A Crisis Line. A wellness workshop that lands for a day and disappears by Monday. These things might look like “help”, but only focusing on awareness doesn’t build lasting capability.
The research is clear: unless you change the system around people, you won’t see sustained improvement.

The Self Space Solution
Self Space future-proofs your culture by replacing vague awareness with proactive action. We’re here to help you move past the “break-glass” response and integrate mental maintenance into the very fabric of your leadership. By addressing pressure before it turns into a resignation or a burnout, we help you build a steadier, more human system. One that actually holds up when things get tough. Consider it the end of the “I’m fine” culture and the start of a culture people actually want to be part of.
The way leaders show up sets the tone for high-performing teams
Mental health at work isn’t just personal, it’s cultural. It’s shaped every day by how leaders show up when the pressure is on.
Think of middle managers as the nervous system of your workplace. With 69% of employees saying their manager has the biggest impact on their mental health, it’s vital that they too feel supported. We’ve built Tools for Leaders to provide your senior leadership with the framework needed to move from just surviving to truly thriving.

How we approach things...
Our three pillars ensure businesses can be both proactive and reactive across the organisation.
Therapy, Coaching, and Mental Maintenance Access
Everyday support for everyday people in everyday work
We offer fast, flexible access to 1:1 therapy and coaching that feels like a conversation, not a clinical trial. With 30-40% engagement (compared to the usual 8% snooze-fest), our model helps people stay ahead of the curve and the pressure.
No waitlists, no hoops, just good human support when it’s actually needed.
Workplace Mental Health Consultancy
Strategy with soul.
A one-off wellness workshop is a sticking plaster, not a solution.
No fluff, no clinical jargon or mundane workshop you half listen to while cracking on with a project, just the right ingredients to make change actually stick.
Diagnostic Psychiatric Insight
Stop guessing. Start knowing.
Patchy psychiatric routes shouldn’t be the reason your people are stuck. We provide fast, compassionate Diagnostic Psychiatric Insight Pathways to get to the “why” behind the struggle, combined with Self Space expertise.
It’s not just about a diagnosis; it’s about giving individuals a map and managers the tools to actually get them where they want to be.
We help organisations move beyond crisis fixes and put mental maintenance at the heart of everyday working life. Therapist-led, clinically grounded, and built to support the whole company.
Healthier workplaces aren’t built through tick-box wellbeing. They’re built by helping people stay well, lead well, and work well. Because “I’m fine” isn’t good enough.

If you’d like a quote, we’d happily send one through. Please contact partnerships@theselfspace.com for more info. Likewise, you can use the form above!
Once you’ve partnered with us, your people accessing the service is the next step. We always kick off every partnership with a free launch talk which will signpost exactly where people need to go to get started. First, they’ll need to register using their company email, which they can do through our website. It can take up to 24 hours to link an employees account so we recommend registering right away so it’s there later if you need it. However, if you register and want to see a therapist right away email us on hey@theselfspace.com and we’ll link your account immediately. The next step is to book in for a session! Employees can head to our booking page when you’re ready to book in, remember to select the appointment type ‘Self In The City – Company Paid’. If they aren’t sure who to book with they can look on the team page or fill out the therapy match form.
The short answer is yes! We have partners who have clients spread worldwide. The slightly longer answer is that in order to work with international clients, there are a few safeguarding bits that need to be in place before the work can go ahead. If you’ve got a sales call booked in with us, we’d be happy to go over these with you. To find out more email partnerships@theselfspace.com
To support the international work, we’ve got therapists who are able to practice in the languages spoken below: English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Dutch, Greek, Bulgarian, Farsi, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Polish.
Trust is an integral part of a therapist-client relationship; therefore, all Self Space sessions will be kept confidential. However there might be certain circumstances where the therapist may have to consider breaking a client’s confidence for their own safety. This could be if there is a risk of immediate harm to the client or to another person. The therapist will explain how they work at your first Self Space session. In some situations, it might be necessary for therapists to share notes, for example if you see more than one therapist.
We currently have four physical spaces across London: Borough, Shoreditch, Soho, and King’s Cross, where therapists are available for face-to-face sessions. All our therapists also offer virtual sessions, ensuring support for those outside London or anyone who prefers online therapy from the comfort of their own home.
