Who we’re looking for:

New solution. New team. New role. As the Community Manager, you’ll play a central part in the launch and ongoing development of our new community platform, designed as a space to unite our audiences towards driving positive cultural change around mental health. We’re looking for an energetic, creative, and proactive person to oversee the management of this new platform, launching in Q3 of this year. The ideal candidate will drive engagement and retention across our diverse audience, which includes HR and People leaders, mental health champions, and advocates for positive cultural change in the workplace and the lives of employees. This is a brand new offering for Self Space, in a new team, and we have lots to learn. We’re hoping you can hold our hand and guide us forward.


Key responsibilities:

Community Management:
– Oversee and manage our community platform, ensuring a vibrant, active, and engaged
online community.
– Develop and implement strategies to drive member engagement and retention.
– Manage our relationships with the platform provider, ensuring we implement the latest
features and functionality.

Event Coordination:
– Organise and execute online talks, forums, webinars, and events that resonate with our
community members.
– Create and curate content that resonates with our audience and promotes meaningful
– Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to plan and deliver high-quality
content and experiences.

Member Experience:
– Lead initiatives to improve the member experience.
– Monitor community feedback and work closely with our team to enhance the member
experience and address concerns.

Social Collaboration:
– Collaborate with the wider brand and comms team to grow our social media presence,
fostering meaningful conversations and connections among community members.
– Monitor social channels and respond to community interactions in a timely and supportive

Bridge Between Departments:
– Serve as a link between marketing, Psyched, and our members, ensuring seamless
communication and collaboration.
– Support marketing campaigns and initiatives by leveraging community insights and feedback.

Advocacy and Growth:
– Promote positive cultural change around mental health through community engagement and
– Identify opportunities to expand our reach and impact within the mental health ecosystem


You should apply if you are:

– Experienced in growing and engaging online communities
– A creative thinker with a bias for action and learning by doing
– Outcomes-driven with strong analytical skills
– Detail-oriented and proactive in driving projects to completion


You’ll be successful if you have:

– Prior experience owning and growing an online community – D2C or B2B
– Experience in similar roles within startup environments (workplace wellbeing and mental health a
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
